TRANSPORTATION STATISTICS OF ROTE NDAO REGENCY 2023

In the current developing economic situation, the transportation sector is one of the sectors that is the foundation for the development of other sectors. The transportation sector itself plays an important role in economic development in Rote Ndao Regency, especially in overcoming the problem of isolation of the Rote Ndao Regency area, which is an archipelagic area and separate from other districts/cities, and has 1 (one) airport and 5 (five) ports. As an island region connected to the surrounding buffer areas, transportation is a basic need for the people of the Rote Ndao Regency area. This need is fundamental because Rote Ndao Regency is still very dependent on the surrounding area, such as food, clothing and building materials and other goods that cannot be produced themselves.The Rote Ndao Regency Government in this industrial era 4.0 should think about the need for transportation facilities both in terms of the number of facilities and the quality of services supporting the transportation facilities. For this reason, the Central Statistics Agency is required to be able to provide transportation data with more complete coverage so that it can be used as a basis for planning transportation development in the future. The presentation of transportation statistical data for 2023 is intended to provide information to data users, both government and private agencies, regarding transportation facilities and infrastructure in Rote Ndao Regency and their development compared to the previous year. In particular, this data can be used as input for planning transportation development and economic development in general.
