Data collection for the 2024 Agricultural Economic Survey (SEP).

June 19, 2024 | BPS Activities

The 2024 Agricultural Economic Survey (SEP) which was carried out this June is one of a series of follow-up surveys in the agricultural sector following the complete enumeration of the 2023 Agricultural Census (ST2023). The Agricultural Economic Survey (SEP) is a follow-up survey after the complete ST2023 enumeration was carried out. The main objective of SEP 2024 is to obtain data on economic aspects of agricultural business units, including income, expenditure, cost structure, and welfare indicators of agricultural business units in Indonesia.
The 2024 SEP data collection activity was carried out by BPS partner officers who had been trained on 27 - 30 May 2024 in a hybrid manner. To monitor the quality of data from the 2024 SEP data collection, supervision is carried out by BPS organic employees. The 2024 SEP data collection includes individual business units (UTP), Legal Entity Agricultural Business Units (UPB) and Other Agricultural Businesses (UTL). The 2024 Agricultural Economic Survey (SEP) enumeration was carried out by visiting Individual Agricultural Enterprises (UTP) in the officer's area. The UTP enumeration mode is carried out during visits to respondents using the CAPI (Computer Assisted Personal Interviewing) mode. Data collection using the CAPI mode is one of the uses of increasingly rapid developments in information technology with the hope that the reports produced will be faster, more accurate and up to date.
